FDA Trying to Kill Natural Medicine

The following is taken from the website second mentioned

--------------------------------------------
When it comes to health freedom, this is the FDA's end game.

A new FDA "guidance" document, published on the FDA's website, reveals plans to reclassify virtually all vitamins, supplements, herbs and even vegetable juices as FDA-regulated drugs. Massage oils and massage rocks will be classified as "medical devices" and require FDA approval.

The document is called Docket No. 2006D-0480. Draft Guidance for Industry on Complementary and Alternative Medicine Products and Their Regulation by the Food and Drug Administration.
--------------------------------------------

That is capitalism. All aspects of life will become an aspect of making money.
At the same time the freedom is taken away from the people, because this would hinder moneymaking and moneymakers have governments already in a tight grip or the people or organisations of their choice are brought in the desired positions.

I would say capitalism leads to madness!
I would say capitalism leads to slavery!

But in this area doctors belong to the root of the problem, it is again about money. They are elitist, have studied long and want a high income and look how and where they can get it. Finally it leads to cooperating with drug industry because the money is there. Natural medicine is rather a danger for moneymaking of doctors because this can also be used by practioners who have less education and to recommend and use the practice of this won't bring them the financial support they can have from the drug industry when they use their products.
The structures which support this must be changed.
I assume their is a lot worth to discuss about in this area.

To look further for the root of the upcoming danger of unfreedom I would just dissolve the FDA and create a independant organisation which is not allowed to take anything from drug industie, and where the employees from now must not have any chance. But this is not enough.
I would nationalize the complete health sector and change it to public trusts or other foundations where the first goal is not making money and the motivation to make it is also absent because this aspect is excluded in the system. No shareholders, if you support the system financially you only can get a fixed rate of interest for instance. But there are certainly other ideas in this area.

To start a public discussion about this I think is interesting now, but don't forget to beat the current danger now.
