Recently I thought about the Ron Paul campaign . It would be great if he could win but I know it from Germany and elsewhere that the mainstream usually gets their candidates through no matter how much chit they produce and observed that there are probably means which are used by powerful people in the country to influence the election to stay in a desired frame. So change happens not by election rather by approval of the powerful before any election. So I did not actually hope that much that he would win. But this attitude is hindering any possible success. I was impressed by Ron Paul and his supporters who relentless fight and fought for their goal and go on doing this.
Some years ago I started reading the anarchist internet news on www. infoshop.org.
I was disappointed about how much they actually were adapted to the mainstream. Despite this they had sometimes to fight for survival.
Once I had questions about them in my head. I answered by thinking that to support another political system or other ideas while law abiding must be possible in a democracy and elsewhere. Shortly afterwards on the website appeared the message."Kill capitalism before it kills you." It needed a long time to recover to a real opposition.
I often have incidents which prove for me that the intrusion in privacy is possible, that harassment, destruction and killing is possible and done by a well hidden sophisticated terror system that works in many countries of the world. Such a system is only possible with political forces which are not really serious about human rights, the Constitution.
Actually most candidates of the republicans and the democrats are not, while Ron Paul is.
With a vote for Ron Paul you defend the right to live your life and the right to be different, different from mainstream. With other candidates the danger of further regulation of life, of further tightening possible ways of further cutting freedom is probable.
You choose to support your individual future and not to be pressed and directed in shapes desired by the rich and powerful if you support Ron Paul.
With voting for Ron Paul you also support your health freedom and not to be delivered to health care which is actually care for the moneybags of Big Pharma.
He is the only one serious about this topic.

The mainstream uses for instance the blame to be an extremist if you deviate from their ideas or tends to label you sick. Anarchy is often associated with chaos, while it is meant as order without rule based on voluntary association. That is an example how political ideas deviating from the mainstream are discredited.
Psychiatry with its unscientific work and a on power based relationship between doctor and patient has enough possibilities to "'cure'' deviating views behind closed doors and for instance hiding in complicated therapy models.
Ron Paul supports a foreign policy of freedom. The American system is not the only political and economical system which should exist in the world. There should be many really different ones. When all is pressed in one shape (globalisation, New World Order) the world will loose many cultures and many possible ways to go.
When there is one system in the world from whom can you learn when you get in deep trouble. Who can help you if you go crazy? They are all the same all over the world, all crazy then.
There are also desires towards other ways of living, thinking also doing economics which will be suppressed by mainstream arrogance and should not be supported.
And if Ron Paul does not become the candidate of the republicans by campaigning he has the chance to make many Americans more familiar with libertarian ideas.
It won't be the last attempt to get such ideas through. The libertarian party is the third largest party in the US. People disappointed by the system could see them as a new chance to get some influence in their desired direction in America in the long run. To make politics for them personally more satisfactory could be possiblby starting to get active and to look where the small opportunities are. That also means to look at the own limited knowledge in politics and trying to increase it, that means to overcome frustration and look what have I to do with it, how political work could be part of your life or will I just improve my knowledge in this area. The libertarians could be political party and movement which is connected to projects in the country.
What about support founding a school, a university of economics which starts from libertarian ideas and sticks with them and has not capitalism as its background and goal from the beginning to look for new models and to get distance to capitalism which brings along to be able to find errors in it. (Capitalistic structures in a health system are an error for sure.)
What about trying to discuss libertarian ideas more regularly.
The Greens in Germany for instance were also party and movement some decades ago. It would be interesting to analyze why they failed and how such a movement could look in future.
To build your environment more to your desires and protect it against mainstream intrusion is important because you probably cannot hinder from happen if you do not do so. A German man who studied anarchy and publishes a anarchist newspaper has intrusions of capitalistic thinking in his brain. Being active politically and shaping your environment, being part of an movement can reduce intrusions and support your freedom, your dreams of a society which may go against the status quo. The danger to give up against a at least particular fanatic mainstream of getting part of it is huge as you are surrounded by its sources and its greed to get everyone and this has effect in the long run.
