One thing which can be better in Thailand than in many countries of the west is the control of the government. The biggest party of the country got dissolved Thaksin was sentenced to prison. I read it also sometimes that other officials were brought to court. In. I recommend to preserve this and develop it in every area of society. Necessary steps must be taken that may be outside the government.
Power hungry political parties will rather use such legislation to their advantage than improve it. Look how it is in America.. People go to prison for smoking marijuana while manager at the FDA can make money with getting money from drug industry for wrong behavior.

This is not the only area. For instance Electronic harassment is punished by law only in few states. Like Massachusetts. But there offenders only have to pay a fine. which may be high. This means the poor people may be deterred by this law but the rich not.
In Germany it is like this that one politician from the socialists said that abuse of office is quite common.
I think it is important to develop Thailand with respect to their culture and history. American led mainstream and Europe will not really accept that and try to push you in its desired shape.
It is important to take out of government people who are selling out Thai culture to money interests or the particularly mad concepts of globalization or else.
This possibility should be created. It has to happen probably against the government.
Further I see that in a parliamentary democracy the leading parties try to seize total power. To counter this it should be made that the government cannot change the constitution. A independent team of people not connected to parties and not selected by parties should be set up for this
There could be a tern of 8 years to reform it regularly to have a means to react on developments.
Further the police should be independent.. Top officials there should not be selected by the government as they will serve then their agenda.
A nationwide committee to uphold culture could be set up to monitor changes and propose rollbacks if they are against the culture. The power to enforce such rollbacks should be installed. To this committee should also belong a lot of people who think about developing Thailand in harmony with their culture.
I read that happiness was going down. Western people come to Thailand and are amazed how Thais can be happy with that little money and possessions. They are often not that happy.
You will loose your happiness when you only copy the west.
To defend your identity against American led mainstream you must get knowledgeable and additionally as hard as Al Quaida. Otherwise you will not achieve your goal.

Dahin fuehrt eine parlamentarische Demokratie. Wenn sich zwei grosse Parteien ziemlich sicher sein loennen das zumindest eine von ihnen die Regierung fuehrt, erinnern sie sich das sie gemeinsame Interessen haben. Die Macht, auch die Macht ueber den Buerger. Dieser Gesetzesentwurf ist ein Ausdruck davon. Es ist ein Ausdruck der Schwaeche dieser Regierungsform.

Ich denke das Demokratie und die Verfassung geschuetzt werden muessen. Vor einigen Jahrzehnten ging man mit dem Radikalenerlass gegen Kommunisten in oeffentlichen Aemtern vor.
Dann muss man auf der anderen politischen Seite auch so konsequent sein.
Fuer mich ist Wolfgang Schaeuble rechtsextrem und muss aus seinem Amt entfernt werden. Desweitteren muessen Untersuchungen wegen moeglichem Amtsmissbrauch stattfinden. Dieser Gesetzesentwurf kann schon als Grundlage dafuer dienen. Dann muessen Untersuchungen gegen die CDU und SPD stattfinden wegen rechtsextremer Stroemungen weil sie dieses stuetzen.

Zur Not muessen sie verboten werden. Thailand hat einmal die groesste Partei seines Landes verboten es leider versaeumt bei dieser Linie zu bleiben.

Vieleicht koennte man auch medizinische Untersuchungen gegen die Hauptbetreiber einleiten um sie auf "Schnueffelwahnsinn" untersuchen zu lassen.

Wenn das Gesetz jetzt nur intern gekippt wird setzt sich moeglicherweise auf Dauer eine rechtsextreme Linie zunaechst in den grossen Parteien und dann in Deutschland durch. SPD und CDU werden naemlich nach einiger Zeit nachsetzen um ihre Ziele zu erreichen, und die Menschen sind ihre Grundrechte fuer die Interessen "der Grossen" los.

US election - some lessons for Thailand?
That would mean to overtake the American system.

You should develop your own as I see the American and European system with considerable weaknesses.
A man in charge of power and being integer and serious to make politics for all people and being serious about striving for harmony is always superior to a man who won an election and then just puts through what he and his party wants.

The second man and mostly disregards protests He will say in the next election you have a chance. But then another big party wins (there are usually only two big ones) and again does politics go against your interests and ideals. After some time people who do not agree with the big parties become minorities and get pressed in the way the two big parties think. That is western democracy. More crazy than democratic. Apart from this the system will eliminate Thai culture, which is in some parts superior to western countries. I know Thais are often too stupid to recognize this and look to America.
YOU STUPID. Do it yourself and ignore America!
America wants to rule the world or make the world like it is, but that does not mean that they have the best solutions. They are just the strongest and want it.
