Yesterday I read in a Malay newspaper that the Malay government will introduce government screenings for mental health problems for students. Treatment omay follow after this.
In the first place this idea sounds good but I see some negative stuff which can come with this. This tool is able to serve as a political tool to eliminate any undesired political opposition among the young. That won't be done openly probably hidden behind any other arguments. They possibly will reeducate people and say it is psychologically necessary.
The stronger the connection of the government to industry the more pills will be described then.
The whole field of psychology is developping. There is also a threat of damage being done to the youngsters. One person working in the social system in Europe told me that one third of therapies is successful, one third would not achieve anything, and one third would do damage. You probably won't find that information in mainstream media.
